PF holds Spanish trafficker sought by Interpol in SC

A Spanish trafficker, who was wanted by Interpol, was arrested on Thursday morning during a Federal Police (PF) operation that aims at money laundering from international drug trafficking. The arrest took place in Florianópolis (SC).

According to the corporation, two other search and seizure warrants were also fulfilled.

At the suspect’s house, the PF found a speedboat, which was also seized.


The operation had as its starting point information passed by the Spanish police, which indicated that the foreigner was residing in a luxury property in the capital of Santa Catarina.

In finding out, the PF located the suspect and saw that it was an individual based in the city for several years, with strong indications of beinghing money from drug trafficking, including the presentation of significant heritage without proven lawful origin.

In the man’s form, there are three arrest warrants for the commission of various crimes, such as falsification of documents, international trafficking, criminal organization and violent crimes against the person.

After the arrest, the PF requested issuance of a pre -trial arrest warrant for extradition purposes, which was accepted by the Supreme.

He should be arrested in Santa Catarina available to the Supreme Court, and must be responsible for the crime of money laundering.
