The Federal Police said this Friday (17) that investigations into the disappearance of journalist Dom Phillips and indigenist Bruno Pereira indicate that “the executioners acted alone”. In a statement, the corporation says that the investigation indicates that there was no mastermind behind the crime.
According to the PF, “there are indications of the participation of more people”.
“Investigations are continuing and there are indications of the participation of more people in the criminal practice. The investigations also point out that the executioners acted alone, with no mastermind or criminal organization behind the crime,” the statement said.
The Federal Police informs that new arrests may occur. At least five suspects are investigated. Amarildo Oliveira da Costa, known as Pelado, confessed to having participated in the murder of the duo.
