The Federal Police launched, on the morning of this Wednesday (16), the 4th phase of the ‘Passe Livre’ operation. The objective is to dismantle a criminal scheme responsible for defrauding entrance exams for admission to medical courses at private universities.
According to the PF, the group solved tests for candidates for R$2,000. 27 search warrants were executed in the states of Pará, PiauÃ, São Paulo and Tocantins.
The corporation points out that the criminal group has 30 investigators responsible for carrying out the tests in place of third parties or providing answers for insertion into the systems.
The investigation is an offshoot of the previous phases of Operation Passe Livre, which began in February this year, when it uncovered fraud in the 2022 and 2023 National High School Exam (Enem).
During the analysis of the seized materials, 63 investigations and fraudulent evidence have so far been identified in four states of the Federation.
The police point out that the fraud consisted of circumventing the security system for online entrance exams at several medical schools, allowing, for example, third parties to have access to the test questions.
In other cases, one of those investigated carried out the tests in place of the beneficiaries of the fraud. Situations were identified in which the group even cheated on tests for nine candidates simultaneously, using several associates to solve the test questions.
The PF has so far certified that at least 63 people have benefited – or graduated in Medicine – from the fraud.
The investigation, which was authorized by the Ministry of Justice, found that the amounts paid for carrying out the fraud were divided between those responsible for resolving the evidence issues.
