The Federal Police (PF) reported this Thursday (11) that it removed the loggers, ranchers and land grabbers who occupied the site from the Trincheira Bacajá Indigenous Land, in São Félix do Xingu, Pará.
The authorities stated that, in the first phase of the “disintrusion” operation, in July, access to the land was closed, and those occupants who insisted on staying in the area were identified and removed.
Some buildings, such as bridges and other housing, were destroyed.
At the moment, with the second phase of the operation underway, the authorities are seeking to remove the cattle left on the Indigenous Land.
This task should continue for several weeks, as the animals are scattered throughout the region.
After this phase, the PF will destroy the access bridges to the territory.
The Operation was supported by IBAMA, FUNAI, Força Nacional, ICMBio and the Agricultural Defense Agency of the state of Pará.
