The Federal Police (PF) launched, this Monday (24), the second phase of Operation Manifest to dismantle a criminal organization linked to international drug trafficking. A preventive arrest warrant is being carried out in Uberlândia (MG) and another search warrant in Passo Fundo (RS) and the seizure of three planes.
In addition, the PF executes the blockade of the organization’s real estate and money, as well as the collection of other assets held by criminals.
Among those involved are businessmen linked to agricultural aviation, lawyers, pilots and members of the faction. The investigated will answer for the crimes of international drug trafficking, criminal organization and money laundering.
Operation Manifest started in December 2020 after an air accident that happened in the municipality of Many Capões (RS).
The organization sent cocaine to the interior of the country, using the Bolivia/Paraguay/Brazil route, using planes to transport the drug. In the first phase in 2021, 11 people were arrested and 30 search warrants were carried out.
Justice blocked R$ 15 million in real estate and money from those involved, seized eight aircraft, 12 cars, in addition to weapons and ammunition.
