The Federal Police (PF) reported that an attempted hacker invasion of the institution's system was detected earlier this week. Therefore, as a precaution, the passport issuance scheduling service via the Internet was interrupted.
The PF says that the service “will be resumed after verifying the integrity of the systems”. The PF has already started investigations at the Cybercrime Repression Directorate and continues working to reestablish the service. Servers changed system access passwords.
The organization points out that appointments that were previously made will be attended to normally within the scheduled dates and times.
However, for those who do not have trips scheduled for the next 30 days, the PF advises users to wait for the service to normalize.
For those who need to issue the document in the next few days, it is necessary to send documentation proving the user's urgency to a passport issuing unit.
The PF also states that it continues to attempt to restore the service and that there is no further information on what may have caused its unavailability.
