PF targets faction that planned attacks on authorities in Tocantins

This Friday morning (3), agents from the Federal, Military, Civil and Criminal Police served 23 preventive arrest warrants against a criminal organization that was planning attacks against public authorities in Tocantins, in the Dianópolis region.

According to the Federal Police, the group prepared a plan to attack a judge, a prosecutor, illegal police officers and criminal police officers.

In addition to the arrests, the police carried out 36 search and seizure warrants in the cities of Dianópolis (TO), Palmas (TO), Dueré (TO), Cariri (TO), Porto Alegre (TO), Rio Verde (GO), Formosa ( GO) and Imperatriz (MA).

The investigation began in February this year and found that the faction issued orders through messages known as “salves”, for its members to execute the plan and meet the objectives determined by the leadership.

According to the investigation, the attacks were “messages” to local authorities, following restriction orders on prisoners and operations to combat organized crime in the state.

The Integrated Force to Combat Organized Crime in Tocantins (FICCO/TO) named the operation “Comminatio Magistratus”, in allusion to the Latin term “Threat to State Power”. Agents from the Federal District, Maranhão and Goiás also participate in this action.
