The Attorney General of the Republic, Augusto Aras, informed the director-president of the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa), Antônio Barra Torres, that he had taken action against the threats to the agency’s directors.
The letter sent by the PGR to Anvisa was not publicly disclosed, the two institutions claim that the matter is sensitive and that they will not expose the measures.
In a statement, the PGR emphasizes that it has taken measures against the threats “possibly in retaliation for technical positions adopted in the field of its competence”.
This Sunday (19), Barra Torres sent the request to the PGR in which he reported threats that all five directors of the agency have received through social networks.
