Phenol peeling: owner of clinic that killed young man is denounced by SP Public Prosecutor’s Office

The Public Prosecutor’s Office of São Paulo (MPSP) charged Natalia Becker with murder with eventual intent – that is, when one assumes the risk of killing, qualified by a vile motive, this Friday (30).

The owner of Studio Natalia Becker, located in the South Zone of São Paulo, was responsible for carrying out a procedure, known as phenol peeling, which killed Henrique Chagas, 27, at the beginning of last June.

Beautician Natalia Fabiana de Freitas Antônio, who went by the name Natalia Becker on social media, was indicted for murder with eventual intent last week. The São Paulo Public Security Department reported that the police investigation was reported and sent to the Court of Justice on the 19th.

According to the MPSP complaint, Natalia carried out the procedure “taking the risk of producing death and acting with a despicable motive.” The document also indicates that the accused acted to “gain economic advantage.”

The businessman underwent the procedure because he wanted to alleviate the acne marks on his face. Moments after the procedure, he began to feel unwell, telling his partner, Marcelo Camargo, that he had felt a lot of pain during the procedure, as reported in the police report.

The businessman paid R$5,000 for the procedure. Some SAMU teams were called to help, but despite attempts to revive him, Henrique did not survive.

THE CNN Natalia’s defense said that it disagrees with the accusation filed by the MP, and informed that in due course “all the reasons for her innocence” will be presented in the process.
