Photoshop and Premier are available again in Russia, but not everyone can renew their license

Adobe has given Russian users access to download their software, including Photoshop, Illustrator and Premier. In March last year, the company suspended all services in Russia and Belarus, after which pages with software from Russian IP addresses stopped opening. Now any of the more than 20 applications can be downloaded again for Windows and macOS, but it is still not possible to buy a license, and not everyone can renew.

According to the Izvestia publication, we are not yet talking about the full return of Adobe to the Russian market. The company has made concessions for certain categories of users. So, for example, only corporate clients can renew the current subscription to previously purchased products, while ordinary users can only use free trial versions of programs that work for a month. This was confirmed by the Softline distributor, which owns the right to sell Adobe products on the territory of the Russian Federation.

Some experts cite other reasons for removing the blocking of access to Adobe software in Russia. Among them are commercial obligations to foreign companies operating in the territory of the Russian Federation, as well as the loss of customers. The last reason is associated with the emergence and active distribution of Russian software products that compete with Adobe. Because of this, companies that left the Russian market

forced to open access to their products.

Ordinary users have to look for workarounds to download software and pay for a license. Pirated versions of Adobe software are not suitable for several reasons and may contain viruses.
