Picanha with powdered milk: recipe goes viral and generates debate on social networks

The Brazilian tiktoker abud sadek caused discussion on the internet by releasing a recipe video using powdered milk in a piece of picanha. In the images, he replicates the recipe made by the channel American Guga Foods, in which a grill compares different meat preparations, including one with powdered milk.

In the Brazilian’s video, which already has more than 1.6 million views, the influencer approves of the “alternative method” to traditional rock salt.

The video quickly reverberated on other social networks and divided opinions on Twitter, with discussion between those who condemned the recipe and those who already knew and even used the method.

On the other hand, the method is not so controversial and innovative, as renowned cooks have already published similar recipes. One example is that of Brazilian chef Alex Atala in a video posted on his YouTube channel: “Carne de sol ends up developing a very pleasant dairy flavor”, reveals Atala.
