Pierfrancesco Favino: “Living also means dealing with all the broken promises”

In Promises, the film directed by Amanda Sthers presented at the Rome Film Festival, we observe how the expectations we have about ourselves and our path are often broken bybreak in of life.

The protagonist Alexander, played by Pierfrancesco Favino he is a man who has seen many promises made: he lives in an economically privileged family that allows him not to work, he has a wife and a daughter and several trusted friends. But with only one meeting everything can change and the castle collapses: we discover that in reality he is a bad husband and father, a fickle and confused lover. But it is precisely his fragility and the absence of judgment with which the director observes him that makes him a true and intense character.

Adapted from the novel The promises by Sthers herself, the book was published in Italy by Rizzoli. Among the interpreters also Kelly Reilly e Jean Reno.

Promises will arrive in the room from November 18.
