Pilot of plane carrying 420 kg of cocaine is indicted for trafficking in Tocantins

The Tocantins Integrated Force to Combat Organized Crime (FICCO) has just concluded the investigation investigating an airline pilot caught with 420 kilos of cocaine on the aircraft.

The 54-year-old pilot was indicted for drug trafficking and the case was sent to court.

On the night of January 6th, the plane he was piloting had to make a forced landing in the rural area of ​​the city of Rio Sono, located just over 150 kilometers from Palmas.

At the time, the Military Police arrested the man in the act after receiving an anonymous tip about the whereabouts of the aircraft.

The pilot was found with bruises on his head and ten packages of drugs were stored inside the plane. There were packages hidden even in the cockpit.

The person under investigation confessed to having taken the drugs in Corumbá (MS) and said that they were destined for a rural property in Tocantins. The detainee, who is from Ponta Porã (MS), already had a police record for drug trafficking.
