A man of Mexican nationality, identified as the largest methamphetamine manufacturer in the state of São Paulo and one of the pioneers of production in Brazil, was arrested last Friday (17) in the central region of São Paulo.
According to the Civil Police, two temporary arrest warrants were served. In addition to the Mexican, a Brazilian was also arrested.
Both were arrested for drug trafficking. Around 40 grams of methamphetamine and two simulacra firearms were seized from their possession.
The arrest is the result of the third phase of the Operation “Heisenberg” which dismantled a criminal scheme that produced and distributed the synthetic drug known as “crystal”.
The name of the action, Heisenberg, is an allusion to the pseudonym used by the character Walter White in the American series “Breaking Bad”. In the plot, White is a chemistry teacher who manufactures and sells methamphetamine.
Operation Heisenberg had already carried out two other phases. The first resulted in the arrest of six suspects and the seizure of 2.1 kilograms of methamphetamine in a clandestine laboratory.
The second phase carried out 60 arrest warrants and 101 search and seizure court orders, with suspects charged with drug trafficking, money laundering, criminal organization and other related crimes.
