With New Year’s resolutions, it is clear that they have the desire to keep even more fit as now Pippa Middleton, the sister of the Princess of Wales, and her husband James Matthews have decided to install an outdoor swimming pool and a tennis court in the grounds of their Berkshire country house.
As reported on the Daily Mailthe two are thinking of going big, with a swimming pool no less than 25 meters long and a super technical AstroTurf tennis court, a sort of artificial turf that allows safe playing conditions all year round.
In fact, a swimming pool already existed, but the real estate agent would have said that it was built more than 20 years ago, certainly not in line with modern standards. But surely these works will only enhance the large Georgian house, which is already of a very high standard: with 32 rooms and 150 acres, it was bought by Pippa and her husband for 15 million pounds in July last year, after having sold their five-storey Chelsea home for £22.5m.
Their country house is not far from Pippa’s parents, Michael and Carole Middleton, who live in the village of Bucklebury in West Berkshire; while Pippa’s brother James reportedly bought a £1.45m farm house in the county last year with his wife Alizée.
Pippa has clearly inherited the Middletons’ “outdoor” streak: the Princess of Wales is the “Royal Patron” of numerous sporting organisations, including SportsAid and the Lawn Tennis Association, while her younger brother, James, often posts his photos on Instagram dog walking adventures.

It’s an enthusiasm that Pippa and James Matthews, who wed in 2017, are no doubt keen to pass on to their three children.
