Piraeus Bank is included in the Bloomberg Gender Equality 2022 Index

Piraeus Bank announces that it is one of the 418 companies from 45 countries and regions that have been included in the Bloomberg Gender Equality Index (GEI) for 2022.

It is an Index that records the performance of companies that are committed to the transparency of the data they provide about their gender equality policy. This benchmark assesses gender equality in five areas: women’s participation in leadership positions and skills development processes, equal pay for men and women, inclusive corporate culture, anti-sexual harassment policies and its promotion women entrepreneurship and creation / development.

In 2022 the Index expands globally, representing 45 countries and regions, and for the first time includes companies based in Colombia and Uruguay. The companies participating in the Index are active in various sectors, including financial, technology, utilities, sectors that overall have the highest corporate representation in the Index.

Piraeus Bank submitted the required data to a survey conducted by Bloomberg and conducted in collaboration with international specialist consultants. The companies that joined the Index for 2022 achieved a score equal to or higher than the limit set by Bloomberg, thus wanting to highlight the degree of disclosure of data but also the achievement and adoption of best statistical practices and policies of companies.

Both participation in the survey and inclusion in the Gender Equality Index are optional and do not involve costs. Bloomberg collected the data for reference purposes only. The Index does not rank members based on scores. While all companies are encouraged to publish on their Bloomberg Terminal® investment profile their additional gender equality data, only those with a market capitalization of more than $ 1 billion are eligible to join the Index.
