The largest social network in Russia announced the addition of a special feature that will help secure user data in case of using unscrupulous third-party VKontakte applications. According to company representatives, this innovation will prevent hacking of user accounts that use unreliable or dubious clients.
On Android devices, the new security feature will be enabled by default. It will not affect the operation of the official VK application, as well as alternative clients created using open API methods allowed by the social network. The current update is based on SafetyNet technology and is part of the VK Protect global data protection program. Its main task is to help people effectively manage privacy and use tools to protect information.
