Pitti Immagine is back with the 100th edition for men (and many new features)

The event emblem of Italian men’s fashion, Pitti Uomo, is finally about to make its return to Fortezza da Basso: a fundamental event for Made in Italy – and not only – which returns to take place in the presence and with the necessary safety measures, from 30 June to 2 July, presenting many and important news. First, it is about the 100th edition of the fair, and this anniversary could only be celebrated in grand style, with guests and special projects that will animate its historic setting in the heart of Florence: the stands will in fact be divided into three macro areas, each of which will tell a different “soul” of menswear.

Special itineraries to fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere of Pitti Uomo, discovering new collections and important brands.

Fantastic Classic will be the area dedicated to the evolution of the classic wardrobe in its most innovative and contemporary versions, Dynamic Attitude will represent the passion for the outdoors as a meeting point between sport and streetwear, and finally we will find Superstyling, the section most projected towards the future, dedicated to trend forecasting and the anticipation of new trends: “100 is a strong, significant, round and promising number” declared Agostino Poletto, general manager of Pitti Immagine, in reference to the hundredth edition of the show «It is certainly a milestone, but – if read backwards, 001 – it becomes the symbol of a new beginning. Right from the start it appeared to us as a great opportunity to express the sentiment with which we are preparing to design and organize our summer shows, finally back in attendance ».

In addition to the three main routes, Pitti Uomo will, as always, be punctuated by independent exhibition spaces and special projects, including a splendid installation inside the Central Pavilion, born from the unprecedented collaboration with Assopellettieri and Lineapelle for the launch of the MIPEL LAB project. But that’s not all: the 93rd edition of Pitti Bimbo, the reference fashion event for kidswear. The 100th of Pitti Uomo will be 100% child, to bring back the centrality of the under 12s, their needs, their creativity and their identity, through the functional spaces of the Monumental Quarters and the Ghiaie Pavilion, organized as a real concept store.

Some brands, such as Herno and Invicta, will present their children’s and adult collections together, bringing together for the first time the leaders in a “family” mode. The return of Pitti Immagine will be crowned – or rather, inaugurated – from 28 to 30 June Pitti Immagine Filati, which will be held at the Stazione Leopolda. Another highly anticipated appointment that sums up the joy of returning to “touch” – or at least, see even more closely – the best of the fashion industry. A splendid return that smacks of normality, to further enhance the role of Florence in the international fashion scene, supported by MAECI and AGENZIA ICE, as well as by Unicredit, main sponsor of Pitti Immagine which, on the occasion of Pitti Uomo, will present the Sustainable Style project , dedicated to the promises of green menswear.
