PKK’s self -dismantling decision, Turkey’s first reaction and the history of the Kurdistan Labor Party

The Kurdistan Labor Party (PKK) announced that its 12th Congress, held on May 5-7, decided to self-dissolution of the organization and end its armed action, according to the appeal of PKK prisoner Abdullah. According to a statement released, the PKK has completed its historical mission and is calling for the implementation of the decisions taken by its conference to enable Ocalan to guide the relevant procedures, the recognition of the right to the pursuit of democratic policy and a solid legal guarantee. It also calls on international forces not to prevent the democratic solution in Turkey, as well as the left-wing-socialist forces, revolutionary structures, organizations and personalities of Turkey to embrace the process for a peaceful and democratic society.
