PL presents to the TSE a company to audit the 2022 elections

The PL asked the TSE (Superior Electoral Court), this Tuesday (7), for the accreditation of the Instituto Voto Legal (IVL) to audit the 2022 elections .

According to TSE regulations, all political parties can appoint representatives to monitor the audit work of the election.

Instituto Voto Legal is a company created in 2021, headquartered in São Paulo and chaired by engineer Carlos Rocha, who is a graduate of the Technological Institute of Aeronautics (ITA).

At an event held by the Engineering Society of Rio Grande do Sul (SERGS), on May 20, which dealt with the security of the Brazilian electoral system, Carlos Rocha was one of the speakers.

At the meeting, the engineer presented the work carried out by the IVL. Furthermore, he opined that the electoral administration should become “a technical state body independent of the TSE”.

“We believe that this is the appropriate way to correct the institutional dysfunction that exists today, because whoever presides over the electoral administration, in our view, should be a board of directors, and this board of directors should be formed by qualified professionals,” he said.
