An agricultural plane crashed while spraying banana plantations on Tuesday morning (1st) in Registro, in the Ribeira Valley, southern region of the state of São Paulo. The pilot, Nilton Cesar Silva Romero, 70, did not survive the crash. His body was sent to the Legal Medical Institute (IML) of Registration and awaiting confirmation of identity.
It is the second fatal accident involving aircraft, during Carnival, in the interior of São Paulo. On Sunday (27) a small plane crashed in Bebedouro, northern region of the state, causing the death of its two occupants.
According to the Fire Department, the corporation was informed about a plane crash in the rural area known as Trilha das Bulhas, around 8:30 am. Six firefighters in two self-pumping vehicles and a rescue vehicle were deployed to the region, which is difficult to access. The wreckage of the plane was located and the team found the victim already lifeless. The aircraft crashed in an area of forest and banana trees, being completely destroyed, but without catching fire.
The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) reported that a team from the Center for Investigation and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents (Cenipa) traveled from the capital of São Paulo to the region in order to investigate the causes of the accident. The report contacted the company Aero Agrícola Caiçara, which owns the plane, but did not receive a response.

On Sunday, a single-engine plane crashed after trying to take off from the municipal airport of Bebedouro. The aircraft left Atibaia, also inland, and headed for Goiânia, having stopped at Bebedouro airport for refueling.
After take-off, the plane crashed on a dirt road, causing the death of the two occupants, pilot Renan Trombini from Santíssima Trindade, 23, and doctor Marcionil Vieira de Brito, 52. According to the National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac), the single engine was able to fly.
