Plane passenger bites flight attendant, forcing pilot to turn around and return to Tokyo

Flight of the Japanese airline ANA bound for the US was forced to return and land at Tokyo, since one drunk passenger bit a flight attendant.

The passenger, who according to media reports is a 55-year-old American, bit a member's hand of the crew, injuring it slightly, while he was “totally drunk”an All Nippon Airways representative told AFP.

This incident forced its pilots airplanewhich had 159 people on board, turned around over the Pacific Ocean to land at the Japanese capital's Haneda airport, where the passenger handed himself over to police, according to ANA and as reported by APE-MPE.

According to Japan's TBS network, the passenger who was arrested later told police he had “no recollection” of his behavior. On social media, many compared this episode to the “beginning of a zombie movie.”
