A passenger was removed from a Latam Airlines flight on Thursday (18) after being caught smoking inside the plane. The information was confirmed by the airline through a note.
According to Latam, the passenger was on a flight that departed from Guarulhos to Porto Seguro, Bahia, and was removed due to “disciplined behavior”.
The plane had already taken off and had to return to Guarulhos Airport for the passenger to leave. The Federal Police helped to carry out the disembarkation, stated Latam.
“LATAM Airlines Brasil informs that it requested support from the Federal Police to disembark a passenger from flight LA 3260 (São Paulo/Guarulhos – Porto Seguro) this Thursday (18th) due to undisciplined behavior”, says the company.
“LATAM reinforces that it follows the highest safety standards, strictly complying with the regulations of national and international authorities”, complements the note.
