A single-engine plane crashed in a rice field in the city of Massaranduba, in Santa Catarina, on the morning of this Wednesday (29). At around 8:35 am, the aircraft that was flying between Blumenau and São Paulo presented an imbalance and triggered a parachute system.
The five passengers who were on the plane left the accident unharmed, and were already off the aircraft when the Volunteer Fire Department teams began the procedure for assisting the victims, according to a note published by the corporation.
Videos made by people who were in the vicinity circulate on social networks and show the moment of the emergency landing, which took place shortly after takeoff due to mechanical failures.
The plane belongs to the company Bella Janela, an interior decoration trader. The occupants of the flight were heading towards an industry fair in São Paulo. In a note, the company made itself available to the authorities to collaborate with the investigations into the causes of the accident.
