A small aircraft fell on the morning of Friday (7) on Avenida Marquês de São Vicente, Barra Funda, west of São Paulo, resulting in two deaths and two minor injuries. THE Captain Maycon Christ, from the Fire Department provided details about the incident in an interview with CNN .
According to the captain, the initial call was received around the 7h20 . According to Captain Christ’s report, the aircraft fell at one point on the avenue that was not occupied by other vehicles.
However, the dynamics of the accident caused wreckage to be released, reaching a bus and motorcyclists passing by.
Victims and damage
The two occupants of the aircraft were confirmed as fatalities .
“Unfortunately we have these two confirmed deaths of the occupants and crew of this aircraft,” said Captain Christ.
In addition, two people suffered minor injuries: a lady who was inside the bus and a motorcyclist who was traveling through the road at the time of the accident.
The captain stressed that, despite the severity of the incident, the tragedy had no larger proportions.
The other passengers on the bus were able to leave safely, avoiding a larger number of victims.
Investigation ongoing
The authorities responsible for the investigation are already on site to investigate the causes of the accident.
Captain Christ said there is no information on the origin or destination of the aircraft, nor about the identity of the occupants.
The fall of the aircraft occurred on a large way in São Paulo, which could have resulted in a larger disaster.
Emergency teams worked quickly to control the fire and provide relief to the victims.
