For the second day in a row, Russian and Chinese strategic bombers carried out a joint air patrol over the Sea of Japan, the East China Sea and the western Pacific Ocean, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Saturday (30).
Russian Tu-95МS and Chinese H-6K military aircraft carried out an eight-hour patrol accompanied by fighter jets from both countries. The Russian aircraft took off and landed at an airfield in China.
The patrol region is right next to Japan and South Korea, where another patrol also took place on Friday (29).
The Russian ministry said the flights did not violate the airspace of any foreign country and were not directed against any specific nation.
