Play “Eu Semper Soube…” about the universe of LGBTQIA+ mothers arrives in São Paulo

The piece “I always knew…” arrives this Thursday (3) at the Eva Herz Theater, in São Paulo.

The plot, based on the book by journalist Majô Gonçalo, explores how mothers with children who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community are able to reorganize their lives, make sacrifices, and rebuild themselves for them.

In an interview with CNN Radio on CNN No Plural +, the protagonist of the production Rosane Gofman stated that she has already learned a lot during her season in Rio de Janeiro.

“I am proud to do this show, we have to talk about it, building this character made me create a mother in me for this resistance”, he said.

The actress believes that she learned that people belonging to the community do not have the respect they should.

“I learned this from everyone who opened the show, I knew the festive side, but being with these people and getting to know each one makes me a very strong ally.”

She said that she received the affection of many mothers and children in different situations of acceptance, with different stories.

Rosane had contact with a mother who rejected her daughter who assumed a relationship with a woman.

Repentant after watching the play, the actress suggested that she record a video for her own daughter asking for forgiveness.

Later, the actress received a message: “I don’t know what your play is about, but I have my mother back.”

“It’s worth every presentation, I get very emotional, every day, it’s really transformative, the mother who watches it can’t help but understand a little better, this show is too beautiful”, he added.

“Eu Semper Soube…” was adapted and scripted by Márcio Azevedo, and produced by Fabio Camara.
