The Military Police arrested three suspects in one operation in Quitungo, in the north of Rio de Janeiro, this Thursday morning (5).
Police officers from the 16th BPM (Olaria) and the 41st BPM (Irajá) participated in this morning’s action. The objective is to curb the confrontation between rival factions in territorial dispute in the region of Brás de Pina and Cordovil.
So far, three people have been arrested. Additionally, teams seized a pistol a radio transmitter and narcotic material. The incident was forwarded to the 38th DP (Brás de Pina) for investigation by the Civil Police.
The operation of the PM takes place in the same place where a off-duty military police officer was found dead shot in the head on Rua Ourica, also in the community of Quitungo. The case was reported by TV Globo.
Four criminals were caught placing the agent’s body inside a vehicle and leaving the runaway car on a hill.
