The Military Police of Rio de Janeiro opened its own investigation to investigate the complaint that relatives of Congolese Moïse Kabagambe were intimidated more than once by military police.
The case is being handled by the 2nd Military Judicial Police Department, which requested copies of the images from the security cameras that record the aggressions suffered by the Congolese.
The document was sent by the PM to the Homicide Police Station in the capital last Friday (4).
The corporation also requested that the Homicide Police Station forward a copy of the statement given by the police officer named as the owner of the kiosk next to Tropicália.

In another official letter, the corporation asked the Rio de Janeiro section of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB) to assist in contacting “the victim’s family members, so that sufficient information is collected to elucidate the facts”.
