Military police found 25 kilos of cocaine, precision scales and different packages inside a farm in Mairinque, in the interior of São Paulo, after receiving an anonymous tip. The property used for drug trafficking is located on Estrada Municipal Olhos D’Água, in the Dona Catarina neighborhood.
The action took place on Saturday (27), after an anonymous whistleblower called the PM warning about a vehicle that was transporting drugs through the region.
When the teams found the car, the driver said she worked as a cleaner on a farm and accompanied the police there – there was nothing illegal in the car.
A bag of cocaine and other items used to package the drug were found at the scene. The woman said she had no knowledge of any of this and called her partner to inform him about the police search.
While the incident was being recorded, another PM team located the man hiding in a wooded area. A cell phone and R$1,800 in cash were found with him.
The suspect was taken to the police station and gave a statement. The Civil Police are trying to determine whether he has any connection with the material found on the farm.
The case was registered as drug trafficking at the Mairinque Police Station. The drugs and objects were seized.
