PM removes two soldiers involved in approaching a black man in SP

The Military Police (PM) removed the two police officers involved in the action in the north of São Paulo this Tuesday (23). The approach was recorded and the video went viral on social media. In the recording, it is possible to see the agents holding the man by the neck against the gate of the house where he lives, spraying pepper spray in his face and forcing the resident's legs open.

According to state deputy from Paraná Renato Freitas (PT), who shared the video on his social networks, the man, identified as César, had received an undue charge for rent, which had already been paid, and was threatened with a knife by his ex-husband. of the owner of the residence. He then decided to call the Military Police.

“With the arrival of the police, the victim becomes a criminal. Attacked by the police, despite being defended by the owner of the house, who claims to have received the amount for rent”, said Freitas on his Instagram.

In a statement, the São Paulo Public Security Secretariat (SSP-SP) said that “the conduct of the police officers contradicts the operational protocols of the PM, which established a Military Police Inquiry to investigate the facts. The institution does not condone misconduct or excesses on the part of its agents.”
