PM seizes fire extinguisher filled with cocaine on bus in the interior of SP

A 59-year-old man was arrested red-handed inside a bus, after police officers discovered that he was carrying a fire extinguisher containing cocaine-based paste, on the Deputado Archimedes Lammoglia highway, in Itu, in the interior of São Paulo, last Sunday (19) . The bus had left Corumbá (MS) bound for São Paulo.

According to the Public Security Secretariat, police officers noticed a large suitcase belonging to one of the passengers. When checking the weight of the luggage, the agents suspected the presence of a metallic object inside.

Asked to open the suitcase, the passenger revealed a fire extinguisher. Suspicious, the police opened the equipment and found the cocaine base paste.

Police also found portions of cocaine and marijuana in plastic bags in the same suitcase.

The investigation found that the man intended to deliver the drugs to the Barra Funda bus station, in the west zone of the capital of São Paulo.

The man was arrested for drug trafficking and taken to the Itu Police Station, where he remains at the disposal of the Justice Department.
