The Military Police of the Federal District (PMDF) served arrest warrants against 13 police officers accused of torturing a soldier from the corporation during a training course for the PM Shock Battalion (BPChoque). The arrests made this Monday (29) are the result of an operation led by the Public Ministry (MPDFT).
Soldier Danilo Martins Pereira reportedly presented himself to BPChoque on the morning of the 22nd to participate in a Mobile Tactical Patrolling course. According to him, at the time, PM Lieutenant Marco Teixeira, who is the course coordinator, said he would make efforts to get the soldier to withdraw from the training.
From that moment on, the soldier would have been a victim of torture and aggression. According to the MPDFT, Danilo was beaten with pieces of wood, kicked, punched, and hit with a helmet. Furthermore, he would have been subjected to intense physical exercise under the sun while receiving blows and insults.
In his statement, Danilo said that he practiced exercises carrying objects that weighed between 50kg and 80kg, and that the course tutors also threw chemicals into his eyes. The soldier stated that the lieutenant insisted that he give up, but that he initially resisted. However, Danilo abandoned the course after eight straight hours of alleged abuse.
Due to the severity of his injuries, the soldier was admitted to the Intensive Treatment Unit at Hospital Brasília, in Águas Claras (DF), where he said that the attackers were tasked by commander Calebe Teixeira das Neves with removing him from the training course.
In view of the alleged incident, the Court of Justice (TJDFT) ordered the arrest of those involved and the seizure of their cell phones, in addition to removing commander Calebe Teixeira and suspending the course until the end of the investigations.
The agency also requested access to Danilo's medical records to prepare the corpus delicti examination report.
