Four military police officers were removed from their operational functions 30 days after the death of a woman during an operation in the Passo da Pátria community in the East Zone of Natal (RN). The victim was identified as Barbara Kelly Araújo Nascimento.
As determined by CNN the case occurred last Saturday night (12).
According to the Military Police, Barbara was hit by a firearm shot. The woman was referred to Walfredo Gurgel Hospital, but did not resist and died at the health unit. A protest was carried out by residents of the Passo da Fatherland community. Look:

On the morning of Monday (14), the Rio Grande do Norte Military Police attended a meeting at the Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense (Sesed) to deal with the case.
A Military Police Inquiry (IPM) was instituted by the corporation, with 30 days. Four military police officers who participated in the action were removed. In a statement, Sesed reported that agents will remain away until the investigations are completed, acting in administrative functions.
At the same time, the Civil Police also launched a criminal inquiry, with an initial period of 30 days and may be extended for an equal period. In this case, the objective is to investigate information regarding the death of Barbara.
