PM's body found in car trunk in Baixada Fluminense

The body of a military police officer was found in the trunk of an abandoned car in Mesquita, Baixada Fluminense, last Friday night (12).

According to the command of the Mesquita Battalion (20th BPM), which responded to the incident, the body was in an abandoned vehicle on a street in the Santo Elias neighborhood. When the police arrived at the scene, they identified the unit colleague. The suspicion is that the victim was killed in the Sebinho community and taken to the location.

Second Sergeant Eduardo Carvalho, aged 44, had been in the PM for 16 years. The corporation lamented the death and said that there is still no information about the burial of the second sergeant.

Teams from the 20th BPM intensified policing in the region and isolated the area until forensics arrived.

The Baixada Fluminense Homicide Police Station (DHBF) is investigating the police officer's death. Investigations are underway to determine the authorship and motivation of the crime.
