The much-desired new home turned into a rather dangerous environment with poison in the atmosphere and many other unpleasant obstacles on the way to a comfortable life, but suddenly humanity discovered exomatter on the planet – an extremely valuable resource that gamers will hunt for.
In a sense, the travels of gamers to Icarus resemble a gold rush – the player will have to endure a toxic atmosphere, many dangerous opponents (animals look very scary), various man-made disasters and a sea of other troubles on the way to a valuable resource. For example, you have to quickly build a shelter, look for oxygen, hunt game and prepare yourself supplies right in the wild, calculate your moves in advance and, most importantly, count the time. Indeed, in this game, it is precisely time that decides the outcome of the duel between man and the local nature, which makes Icarus such an attractive game against the background of other PvE projects.
The gameplay feature of Icarus is that the gamer chooses the period for which he is sent to the planet Icarus. Further, having received the task, the gamer can explore a huge map with an area of 64 square kilometers, collecting resources, doing crafts and more. But it is very important at the appointed time to get into the capsule, which will return the character back to the orbital station – if the gamer misses this time, then no one will send the rescue squad again. It is possible, of course, to build a temporary shelter, but somehow it will not be possible to return back to orbit, which means that it is better not to miss the launch time.
