Poland: Attempt to provoke a military conflict between NATO and Russia, Moscow denounces

The incident in Poland, where a missile landed in a village near the border with Ukraine causing the death of two people, was an attempt to provoke a direct conflict between Russia and NATO, assessed the head of Russia’s permanent mission to the UN.

“There is an attempt to provoke a direct military conflict between NATO and Russia, which will have repercussions around the world,” Dmitry Polyansky wrote on his Telegram account, as reported by Reuters and the Athens News Agency.

A little earlier, American President Joe Biden informed the heads of state and government with whom he discussed in Bali that there is evidence that this missile was anti-aircraft and was launched by the Ukrainian armed forces in order to shoot down an incoming Russian missile, according to information from the German Agency, which does not name its imgs.

The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that it was a “Russian-made” missile, however Polish President Andrzej Duda said there was no “unshakable proof” of who launched it..
