Poland on ‘hard line’ at Summit: embargo on Russian oil and gas and complete blockade by SWIFT

The proposal of the Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki during the Summit of the European Union in Brussels was articulated in four key points, according to a source on the website Politico.

The head of the Polish government proposed:

-Complete embargo on coal, oil, oil and gas imports from Russia

– Elimination of all Russian and Belarusian banks from the SWIFT system.

– Blocking all road transport of goods and products used by Russia in its military expedition to Ukraine.

– Sanctions on companies that produce and deliver weapons to the Russian armed forces.

The Polish leader also spoke of a plan to rehabilitate Ukraine, with systematic financial and technical assistance to countries hosting or hosting refugees.
