Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk will call for a vote of confidence in Parliament for his government, after the candidate who supported the country’s presidency, Rafal Chasskovsky, was defeated in the Sunday elections. “The first test will be the vote of confidence I will soon ask for by parliament,” Tusk said, speaking on television tonight. “I want everyone to see, including our opponents, inside and outside the country, that we are ready for this situation, that we understand the seriousness of the moment, but we do not intend to retreat or spite,” he added.
