The Civil Police of the State of Ceará arrested 17 suspects of integrating a criminal faction (Red Command) responsible for performing attacks against companies that provide internet in the state. The operation took place on the morning of Wednesday (12), in Fortaleza, Caucaia, Horizonte and São Gonçalo do Amarante (CE).
Of the 17 prisoners, two were considered faction leaders in the state. Another five were owners of internet companies that worked irregularly and were active in the act of clandestine operating and receiving crimes.
PCCE’s general delegate, Márcio Gutierrez, said that among the faction leaders, one is the articulator of extortion and attacks and is linked to the facts that took place in the metropolitan region of Fortaleza last week. Already the second prisoner, considered the technical arm of the group, worked in a provider service that was used to make money for the crime.
The first, 21, was arrested in São Gonçalo do Amarante. With him, two pistols, ten .40 caliber ammunition, cell phones and other electronics were seized. He was taken to the headquarters of the Police Station against organized crime and was charged in the act for possession or illegal possession of firearms.
The 30 -year -old second has a record for crimes of integrating criminal organization, drug trafficking, trafficking association, illegal possession of firearms and receiving. He was arrested last weekend on suspicion of involvement in a homicide crime in Fortaleza.
Another ten arrest warrants were served against targets, aged 21 to 43, who are investigated for crimes of drug trafficking, homicides and theft.
In addition, during the search and seizure warrants were seized routers and fiber optic distributors in the Padre Andrade neighborhood, Pirambu, Ellery, Carlito Pamplona and Barra do Ceará, in Fortaleza, besides the city of Horizonte, metropolitan region of the capital. A third pistol was seized in the Sabiaguaba neighborhood of Fortaleza.
