In all, 21 people were arrested and taken to the Command of Special Operations and Resources (Core). They were arrested by civil and military police during the operation “Against Track”, triggered on Thursday (27). According to the investigations, the suspects would be involved in widespread fights between Sport and Santa Cruz fans, which occurred in the Recife Metropolitan Region, on February 1, 2025.
The images of the confusion were analyzed by the investigators. In the videos, the suspects appear practicing brutal aggressions and depredating real estate. The population lived a scenario of war hours before the classic between Sport and Santa Cruz, at the Arruda stadium, in the northern zone of the capital. Thirteen people were injured during the fights. On the same day, police detained 32 people and started investigations.
The Pernambuco Court of Justice issued 42 arrest warrants. Until the closure of this report, 21 people had been found. The steps are being held in the cities of Olinda, Paulista, Igarassu and Jaboatão dos Guararapes, in the Metropolitan Region, and in Vitória de Santo Antão, located in the South Forest of Pernambuco.
The 170 police officers involved in the operation also served 24 search and seizure warrants, three of provisional hospitalization against minors and three from kidnapping.
Members of the criminal association did not have the names disclosed. They are investigated for corruption of minors, tumult provocation, bodily injury and attempted murder.
Since the beginning of the investigations, the Pernambuco Civil Police said it has already arrested 33 involved in the confusion. The dispute between the fans would have occurred because fans of the Santa Cruz organized would have stolen equipment from the Sport fans, a day before the game. Police are searching to try to arrest other people who are considered fugitive.
