The Civil Police (PC) arrested on Monday (27) eight people suspected of involvement with criminal factions in municipalities of Pará and Maranhão.
The operation called “parabellum” also seized cell phones and other objects considered important for investigations.
During the action, one of the targets, identified as a “jacket”, was charged inside a criminal house in Maranhão.
The criminal had four cell phones that were used to organize and order criminal actions in Pará.
According to police, “jacket” was arrested for having committed other crimes such as murder and drug trafficking.
The arrests took place in Belém, and in the municipalities of Santa Izabel, Castanhal, Ipixuna do Pará and Acará. In addition, there were also arrests in Maranhão, in Boa Vista do Gurupi, and, in the capital, São Luís.
The warrants were issued by the Pará Organized Crime Court after Gaeco’s ministerial opinion (MPPA), all the targets investigated for the offense of integrating criminal organization.
“The objective is to intensify the repression of members of criminal factions to which they operate in the State of Pará and who have branches by other states of the Federation, being responsible for various crimes related to criminal organization, such as thefts, drug trafficking, homicides And extortion, ”said the director of the Specialized Police (DPE), Evandro Araújo.
The action also with the participation of civil police officers of the Salgado Zone Regional Superintendence (3rd RISP -Castanhal), and the Research Support Centers (NAI -Abaetetuba, Castanhal, Capanema and Paragominas).
