The criminal, Eduardo Miranda de Souza, known as Cara Quadrada, was arrested last Thursday (28) while trying to undergo plastic surgery to change the appearance of his face, in a clinic located in Vila Virgínia, in Itaquaquecetuba, metropolitan region from Sao Paulo. The information was released this Monday (1st).
The 43-year-old man, who was wanted by the courts for cargo theft, was captured by the State Department of Criminal Investigations (Deic). According to the investigation department, Cara Quadrada's scheme was to perform surgical procedures to remain at large.
The arrest was carried out by police officers from the 2nd Heritage Precinct (Investigations into Strategic Intervention Crimes) who were searching for the wanted man with the support of the DEIC Police Intelligence Unit, and managed to discover the date and location of the plastic operation.
During the stop, he admitted that he was wanted, but refused to present an identity document. According to the Public Security Secretariat (SSP), the man stated that he would have surgery on his face for aesthetic purposes and denied trying to change his appearance to deceive the courts.
Cara Quadrada was taken to the Itaquaquecetuba Police Station and the case was registered as a fugitive capture.
