According to the police, the man remained in detention this Saturday (23), after serving the temporary arrest warrant, authorized by the São Paulo Court. The measure will keep the suspect in custody for a period ranging from 5 to 30 days, which can be extended for the same period, if the Court understands the need.

The ministry also informed that teams from the 40th Police District are continuing to carry out efforts to “completely clarify the facts”.
The case
A video that circulated on social media showed the attempted kidnapping of a child on Wednesday morning (20), in the Limão neighborhood, north of São Paulo.
In the images, it is possible to see a woman walking hand in hand with a child until, at a certain point, a man in a black tank top approaches the two and appears to start talking to the woman.
Shortly afterwards, an argument begins. At this moment, the man throws the woman and child to the ground. After the argument, he picks up the child and tries to run away. Following the events, another man appears to prevent the kidnapping.
The man caught on security cameras must face charges of attempted kidnapping. Police are investigating whether he was under the influence of alcohol when he approached the woman and child
