During an action on Wednesday morning (3), Wesley Pires da Silva Sodré, one of those involved in the death of a family, in Niterói, in the metropolitan region of Rio, was arrested in São Gonçalo.
A man, identified as one of the leaders of drug trafficking in the region, Lucas Lopes da Silva, known as Naíba, remains at large. In the operation, three search and seizure warrants are being executed.
On the night of March 17, Filipe Rodrigues, 24, and Rayssa Santos, 23, were in a rented car with their seven-month-old son, Miguel Filipe dos Santos, in the Baldeador neighborhood, when they were shot by criminals.
The parents died instantly and the child was taken to a hospital but did not survive his injuries. Forensics indicated that the main target of the shots was the boy's father.
According to investigations by the Homicide Police of Niterói, São Gonçalo and Itaboraí, the reason for the crime was a settling of accounts by drug traffickers.
According to the Civil Police, ten days before he died, Filipe, who knew the routine of drug traffickers in the region, as well as the dynamics of police activity, pretended to be a police officer and asked for R$50,000 to offer to Naíba, head of drug trafficking. in the Community of Castro, the identification of an alleged police informant, who had already caused harm to criminals.
Also according to the investigators, who relied on the analysis of security cameras and interviews with several witnesses, Filipe even provided the data and location of the victim to be captured by the bandits and received the amount of 11 thousand reais, divided into two installments.
Two days before the family's death, on March 15, Filipe set up an ambush for the alleged police informant, who was handed over to drug traffickers. Intercepted conversations between the boy and the criminals then show that there was a negotiation to pay the remaining amount. However, the traffickers discovered that the boy was not a police officer and decided to kill him.
The family, on the night of the crime, was attracted close to the community where the gang operated. At the time, relatives even reported that Filipe would receive money from a debt on the night he died.
The Civil Police requested the arrest of the two criminals also for the disappearance and probable death of the person that Filipe handed over to the group.
