The Civil Police of the Federal District (PCDF) arrested on Tuesday night (15) a 19-year-old man suspected of raping a 16-year-old girl in the Federal District. The crime happened in September after the victim disembarked at a bus stop.
According to police, the victim said that the attacker was on the same bus as her and got off after her. Images from the bus’ security camera helped police identify the perpetrator of the crime.
She also reported that she was approached while trying to cross a pedestrian walkway. According to the statement, at that moment the suspect grabbed the teenager by her hair and took her to a more distant forest region where he allegedly committed the rape.
According to delegate Pablo Aguiar, responsible for the investigation, the victim recognized the man as the perpetrator of the crime. The suspect also admitted to having had sexual relations with the teenager, “but that she had agreed”.
“After recognizing the victim, the author decided to confess that he had carnal knowledge with the victim inside the catwalk, but that she had conceded. We do not believe in this hypothesis, we believe that he acted violently due to the trauma that the victim suffered as a result of this crime”, said the delegate.
