An operation on the morning of Tuesday (29) resulted in the arrest of three people suspected of being involved in the disappearance of three young people in Canoas, in the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre. Temporary arrest orders and search and seizure warrants were fulfilled in Canoas, Braga and Charqueadas.
Pedro Henrique di Benedetto Rodrigues, VÃtor Juan Santiago and Carolina Oliveira de Lima, aged 19 to 23, disappear on April 6. It was around 10 pm, when the trio left a residence located in the Guajuviras neighborhood, using a Fiat Punto vehicle. After that, they were no longer seen.
According to the delegate Graziela Zinelli, “investigations point out the possibility that the three missing people were delivering drugs from a tele-rear organization coordinated by an inmate.”
The car was found abandoned in the north of Porto Alegre two days later.
Police do not rule out that they may have been victims of an ambush. The search for the three follows, but the strongest line worked by the police is that they have been murdered.
