The Pernambuco Civil Police arrested a 52-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman on Thursday (12) on suspicion of involvement in the murder and concealment of the corpse of Kessya Raquel Bezerra de Sousa, 27 years old.
Born in Lajedo, in Agreste, Kessya had been missing since last Saturday (7), when she had traveled to Caruaru, in the same region of the state. According to investigations, the motivation for the crime may be related to the theft of a silver chain. According to police, the victim was beaten to death.
After investigations, the teams managed to locate the victim’s body buried in a shallow grave in a forested area in the Guabiraba neighborhood, north of Recife.
In a press release, the police reported that the suspects, residents of Caruaru, were charged with hiding a corpse and criminal association.
