Two men were arrested this Thursday (16) during “Operation Dyanamus”, which served warrants related to the death of nutritionist Larissa Pavan de Assis, aged 26, in Camaçari. Larissa was hit by a gunshot on December 7, 2024 while traveling as a passenger in an app car.

The vehicle, which was traveling from Salvador to Camaçari, was the target of a shooting attack in Guarajuba, the tourist district of Camaçari, in the Metropolitan Region of Salvador. The driver of the car was also injured by shrapnel, but was released from hospital shortly afterwards.

According to the police, during the operation, a 55-year-old man was arrested for illegal possession of ammunition. In addition, an arrest warrant was served against a 62-year-old man, who had an arrest warrant for homicide issued by the District of Iaçu-BA. The police, however, did not clarify their relationship with the crime.

Investigations revealed that the vehicle used in the attack was being driven by the main suspect, whose identity was confirmed, but which was not disclosed. According to the police, the suspect fired at the victims’ car after an unsuccessful attempt to overtake, as the vehicle was traveling at low speed.

The driver of the vehicle containing the victim, whose name was not released, was hit by shrapnel in the leg and taken to the region’s Emergency Care Unit (UPA), but Larissa succumbed to her injuries.
