Police arrested more than 12 men in a “gay party” in Malaysia

Authorities in Malaysia arrested more than 12 men in the Certian State last month, during a nightlife at a “gay party”, a police official said today. Homosexuality is a crime in Muslim, mostly, Malaysia, and human rights organizations have warned of growing intolerance to lesbians, homosexuals, bisexuals and transgender people. Mohd Yusof Mamat’s head of the state police said police had arrested 20 people after information received by a citizen and attended a rented home in the state’s capital, hen Barou, in June. “During the interrogation they confessed that they belonged to a group of gays,” he said during a press conference. Mohd Yusoff said that although authorities did not find any evidence that there were sexual activities during the rally, police discovered condoms and drugs against HIV in the area.
